How to Connect AirPods to HP Laptop

Connecting your AirPods to an HP laptop is possible because connections are just made through Bluetooth so as long as your HP laptop has a working Bluetooth, then it’s easy to pair these devices.

1. Make sure your AirPods are charged and ready.

2. Use the shortcut Windows Key + A to open the Action Center.

3. Right-click on Bluetooth.

4. Go to Settings.

5. Turn Bluetooth on.

6. Click on Add Bluetooth or other device.

7. Select Bluetooth.

8. Open the lid of your AirPods’ charging case. Make sure your AirPods are inside.

9. Press and hold the setup button at the rear of your charging case to activate pairing mode.

10. Release the button when your light flashes white and starts blinking.

11. Check AirPods among your HP laptop’s discovered devices. Click AirPods to pair and wait.

12. Click Done.

Your audio should start playing on your AirPods after this setup.

You’ve already paired your AirPods but sometimes, when you turn your laptop on and want to use your AirPods, it doesn’t automatically connect to your AirPods. Here’s how to transfer your audio from the speaker to AirPods:

1. Click on the Speaker Icon on your taskbar.

2. Click the dropdown menu.

3. Select Headphones (AirPods). The name of your AirPods should appear here.

Audio should now play to your AirPods after this.


AirPods Aren’t Working Properly

1. Try to check if your AirPods have enough battery to perform at their best.

2. Make sure you are within proximity. Read about how far AirPods reach.

3. Make sure your software’s updated.

4. Clean your AirPods.

5. Restart your AirPods and HP Laptop.

6. Reset your AirPods.

How to Disconnect AirPods from Your HP Laptop

You may want to permanently disconnect your AirPods from your HP laptop. Here’s how:

1. Go back to Settings. Repeat steps 1-4.

2. Instead of Add Bluetooth or other device, click on Remove device beside your AirPods in the selection.

This will disconnect and unpair your AirPods from your HP laptop.


Final Thoughts

The AirPods work well with any device as long as it has Bluetooth connection. AirPods have Bluetooth 5.0 so it’s best paired with Bluetooth 5.0 for maximum reach as well.
